Answers to common questions about NightToggle
No. NightToggle only changes your Windows theme preferences — the same two settings you'd change manually in Settings > Personalization > Colors. With presets, it can also set your wallpaper, accent color, and brightness. All changes are reversible in one click via Safety > Restore previous values.
The core toggle changes two registry values:
AppsUseLightTheme — your apps theme preferenceSystemUsesLightTheme — your system theme preference (taskbar, Start menu)With presets (optional), it can also change your desktop wallpaper, Windows accent color, and monitor brightness. You can see everything NightToggle touches by clicking Safety > What we change in the tray menu.
NightToggle switches Windows to dark mode, but some legacy Windows dialogs and older Win32 apps don't fully support dark mode. This is a Windows limitation, not a NightToggle bug. Most modern apps and the entire system UI (taskbar, Start menu, Settings) will switch correctly.

Try these steps:

NightToggle is toggle-first — one tray click, no settings window. It's also safety-first: see exactly what changes and undo in one click (free). Pro adds bundled theme presets with wallpaper, accent color, brightness, and multi-display support. NightToggle is for people who want a fast, transparent toggle-first experience.
